Any recipes for ham in a slowcooker?

Hot Ham Sandwiches in the Slow Cooker





3 lbs thinly sliced deli ham (about 40 slices)


2 cups apple juice


2/3 cup packed brown sugar


1/2 cup sweet pickle relish


2 teaspoons prepared mustard


1 teaspoon paprika


12 kaiser rolls, split


additional sweet pickle relish (optional)





Separate ham slices and place in a slow cooker.


In a bowl, combine the apple juice, brown sugar, relish, mustard and paprika.


Pour over ham.


Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until heated through.


Place 3-4 slices of ham on each roll.


Serve with additional relish, if desired.

Mustard-Glazed Ham





INGREDIENTS:





3 to 5 pounds fully cooked ham


10 to 12 whole cloves


1/2 cup brown sugar


1 tablespoon prepared mustard


2 teaspoons lemon juice


2 tablespoons orange juice


2 tablespoons cornstarch





PREPARATION:





Score ham in a diamond pattern; stud with whole cloves and place in slow cooker.





Combine brown sugar, mustard and lemon juice; spoon over ham. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour; turn to low and continue cooking for 8 to 10 hours.





Remove ham to a serving platter; keep warm.





Turn slow cooker to high.





Combine orange juice and cornstarch to form smooth paste. Stir into drippings in slow cooker. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes, or until sauce is thickened. Spoon over ham.





Serves 8 to 12.

Honey Ham and Vegetables





INGREDIENTS:





3 pound fully cooked ham


4 to 6 medium sweet potatoes, unpeeled, halved


1 bunch carrots


1 cup ginger ale





Glaze:





1/2 cup honey


1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon


1/4 teaspoon ground cloves


1/2 teaspoon dry mustard





PREPARATION:





Scrub the sweet potatoes and trim. Cut in half. Peel carrots and slice diagonally in 2-inch lengths. Place vegetables on the bottom of the crockpot, place ham on top and pour ginger ale over all.





Cover and cook on LOW for about 8 hours, or until vegetables are just tender. Mix about 2 tablespoons of liquid from the pot with the glaze ingredients in a buttered measuring cup and pour over ham. Continue cooking on LOW for 1 or 2 hours, basting frequently. Slice ham in thin slices, serve with vegetables.Any recipes for ham in a slowcooker?

I try this one but without water chestnuts and i used Velveeta cheese.





CREAMY HAM AND BROCCOLI





Preparation Time: 10 minutes. Slow Cooker Cooking Time: 2 to 2 1/2 hours on high or 4 to 5 hours on low. Last-Minute Cooking Time: none.





1 lb. cubed, cooked ham (about 3 c.)


1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen cut broccoli, thawed %26amp; drained


1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup


1 (8 oz.) jar pasteurized process cheese spread


1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained


1 c. uncooked instant rice


1 c. milk


1/2 c. celery, chopped


1/2 c. onion, chopped


1/8 to 1/4 tsp. pepper


Paprika (optional)





If desired, coat inside of a slow cooker with non-stick spray. In slow cooker, place ham, broccoli, soup, cheese spread, water chestnuts, rice, milk, celery, onion and pepper. Stir until blended. Smooth top, pushing rice into mixture. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or on low for 4 to 5 hours or until rice and onion are tender, stirring occasionally if possible. If desired, sprinkle with paprika before serving. Serve with sliced beets or tomatoes and a relish plate. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Any recipes for ham in a slowcooker?
Slow Cooker Ham

INGREDIENTS:


2 cups packed brown sugar 1 (8 pound) cured, bone-in picnic ham





DIRECTIONS:


1. Spread about 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar on the bottom of the slow cooker crock. Place the ham flat side down into the slow cooker - you might have to trim it a little to make it fit. Use your hands to rub the remaining brown sugar onto the ham. Cover, and cook on Low for 8 hours.

I always cook gammons in my slow cooker ........ pop it in the cooker and cover with a thin layer of either honey or cranberry jelly (or even a coating of mild mustard) if you like it and slow cook for up to 8 hours. It comes out fabulously sweet on the outside and is delicious in sandwiches the following day ..... It will keep for up to a week in the fridge and only gets better as the flavours come out ....
