Good (creative!) recipes for ham?

I am thawing a ham for tonight's dinner. Unfortunately, I received the ham already frozen, so now I need to use the rest of it in the next week or so.

Tonight's dinner is covered, and I can always use some for sandwiches. So, besides those, what are some other ways to use ham that we won't get tired of before we use it up?

I would do a Reuben Casserole and use the ham.

You will need

1 bottle of Thousand Island dressing

1 loaf of rye bread - cubed

1 lg can saurkraut

ham - cubed

swiss cheese - shredded

In a baking dish, drizzle some of the dressing to coat the bottom of the casserol. Take some of the cubed bread peices and layer on bottom,

then repeat with ham, saurkraut, cheese, dressing- repeat until done or casserol is nearly full.

Cover and bake at 375 for about 1 1/2 hours

You can also freeze this -

This is not the healthiest recipe, but it is good

Heat a large fry pan and melt a stick of butter and a little oil. Add 1/2 to one onion chopped. Add 1 clove of chopped garlic. Cut up ham into bite sized cubes and add to pan. Add one pound of cooked egg noodles and mix well. Let simmer for a few minutes. You may need to add more butter if it looks too dry.
Dice some and fry it with diced potatoes, onions %26amp; green peppers ... or put some into a cheese omelet. Chop it fine and make ham salad ... Put cubes into a pasta salad or potato salad ... Make some thick slices on the BBQ one night ... Slice some very thin and serve with BBQ sauce on French or Kaiser rolls
Grind it up and make ham loaf. or ham meatballs and serve with a sweet/sour sauce
sprinkle cumin and drizzle honey

its a spicey sweet taste
hi. if you like sweet you should make a honey ham which you have to glaze the outside with brown sugar, honey, and pinapple (all heated) and then cook it. I don't really know that much about that recipe though. If you want savory you need to soak the ham immediatley. It takes all of the salt out. Do that with the glazed ham too. Then you cut holes into it and stick garlic in it. You cook it in a pan for about an hour or until you smell it. Look in on it if it starts to brown then you should take it out and serve. SOAK THE HAM. I don't know if this is specific enough for you but good luck.
