Denver Omelets are popular at our house. Scrambled eggs with cheese, ham, onions, and green peppers.

There are many other ways. Try sprinkling some into your green beans

instead of butter or bacon. Also adding small bits into your mac and cheese goes well. Like salads? Add some ham bits to your salad to get some protein added or make a straight chef salad which includes ham. Like grilled cheese? Add a slice of ham for a hot ham and cheese sandwich. Of course there is ham salad but that has a lot of fat and sodium. Ham goes well with cheese and eggs, so anything that includes those will probably not be hurt by adding the ham.

And of course there is the tradtional old-fashioned but hearty ham and navy beans with cornbread. My dad loves this. He says he and his brothers and sisters would have starved to death during the great depression if thay had stopped eating ham and beans.

If your really grow tired of it you can sprinkle small portions over your pet's food. Ham is high in protein so it would be good for your dog or cat.
get some yellow Split peas and a celery root put the yellow peas and the chopped celery root in the pot cover with cold water add the ham and let it cook for 2 hours on medium heat, when the soup is done remove the ham and make sure that there are no bones left in the soup , put the soup into the food processor and blend until creamy , put it back into the clean pot , add the diced ham and enjoy!
Put some in the food processor and make ham salad: mayo, relish.

How about 'ham hash for breakfast, dice up potatoes, onions and the ham in small pcs. add oil to a non stick skillet, cook until all is brown, top with a poached egg.

Yellow Pea Soup, use the ham bone too.

Black beans and ham: cook: onions, ham, can of black beans and some chicken stock. Cook this down until it's a bit more soft, then put over some brown rice.
You can make a ham casserole or pie which you can find the recipe for both here:

Or you can make ham fried rice, that's what my husband and I like to do. Another thing we do is add some to our eggs for breakfast.
Cranberry Glazed Ham balls (';ham loaf mix'; in this recipe is just ground up ham) http://www.vinegar-delicious.com/more-cr鈥?/a>

Super Sandwich

ham

cheese

egg

bread

Ingredients will vary by amount, depending on how many sandwiches you want, how high you want it piled.

Get your egg on. Cook it. I poack %26amp; flip mine over to get out all the ';runny.'; Put ham in pan to warm it. Put bread in toaster.

Pile on all ingredients on 1 slice of bread. Top with cheese. I stick mine in the microwave to melt cheese.

Old fashioned ham biscuits

1 pkg of party rolls (20-30 rolls)

1 stick of real butter, softened (NOT MELTED)

1 1/2 tsp poppy seeds

1 tsp worcestershire sauce

1 1/2 tbsp dijon mustard

1-2 tbsp grated onion

1/2 lb of smoked ham, sliced or chipped

1/4 swiss cheese, thin sliced

Preheat oven to 400*. Leave rolls in pan. cut all the rolls in half, placing the tops aside. Combine next 4 ingredients, making a spread. Add spread to both top and bottom of rolls. Add the ham and cheese to the bottom rolls then replace tops. Wrap all in foil and heat until cheese melts. (about 10 to 15 mins).

Ham stuffed squash boats

4 medium yellow summer squash or zucchini (about 6 in.)

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 Tbsp butter or margarine

1 cup diced fully cooked ham

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (divided)

1 egg, beaten

1 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp pepper

Preheat oven to 425掳F. Cut squash in half lengthwise; scoop out pulp, leaving a 3/8 in. shell. Chop pulp and set aside. In a large saucepan, cook shells in boiling water for 4-5 min. Drain and set aside. In another saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender; remove from heat. Add ham, bread crumbs, cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, egg, paprika, pepper and squash pulp; mix well. Spoon into shells. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan. Bake at 425掳F for 12 - 15 min or until heated through. Yield: 4 servings

Potato Balls

2 C very stiff mashed potoatoes (leftovers)

1 to 1 1/2 C finely chopped fully cooked ham (or chicken, turkey, tuna, ground up hotdogs, etc)

1 C (4oz) shredded cheese

1/3 C mayo

1 egg, beaten

1 ts prepared mustard

1/4 ts pepper

2-4 TB all purpose flour

1 3/4 C (approx) crushed cornflakes

Combine all except cornflakes, adding enough flour to make a stiff mixture. Chill in fridge at least a half of an hour.

Shape into balls %26amp; roll in cornflakes. Place on a greased baking sheet %26amp; bake at 350 F for about 25-30 minutes. Serve hot. BEST right out of the oven, not so good leftover. (even if just 5 hours leftover)

This is a very forgiving recipe, skip the egg, add less meat, add more flour, etc. DO NOT SKIP THE MAYO!

They are devoured at my home! Enjoy!
