Honey Glazed Smoked Ham

This is a great way to take a regular cooked ham and turn it into something spectacular by applying a spicy rub and placing it in a smoker. Let it smoke for a long while and it will taste great.

INGREDIENTS:

1 6 pound ';ready to eat'; ham

1 cup pineapple juice

3/4 cup chicken stock

1/2 cup honey

1 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 tablespoon black pepper

1 tablespoon paprika

1 tablespoon sugar

1/2 tablespoon salt

2 teaspoon dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon cayenne

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

PREPARATION:

The night before you smoke, mix together the pepper, paprika, sugar, salt, 1 teaspoon of dry mustard and cayenne. Rub over the surface of the ham, wrap in foil and let sit in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning remove the ham from the refrigerator and let it sit for 1 hour. In the meantime prepare the smoker. You will be smoking at about 210 degrees F. for 6 hours. Mix together the chicken stock, 3/4 cups of pineapple juice, vegetable oil, 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard, and cloves. Warm over medium heat until completely mixed. Place ham in smoker and baste with sauce once every hour. While the ham is smoking prepare the glaze by mixing together the honey, 1/4 cup on pineapple juice, 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard and a pinch of ground cloves. Brush generously with glaze a couple of times during the last hour of smoking.

Bourbon Honey Glazed Ham Recipe

courtesy Sandra Lee

2/3 cup bourbon or whiskey

1 cup clover honey

1/3 cup molasses

1/2 cup 100 percent fruit orange marmalade

Nonstick cooking spray

1 (5-pound) whole bone-in smoked ham, fully cooked, unsliced

1/8 cup whole cloves

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a medium saucepan, heat bourbon, honey, molasses, and marmalade over low heat for 15 minutes or until reduced by half, stirring occasionally. (When measuring honey and molasses, spray measuring cup with nonstick cooking spray to keep measurements accurate.) Set aside.

With a sharp knife, cut a diamond pattern on the fatty part of the ham. Stud whole cloves in each diamond, at points where lines cross. Spread half of the bourbon glaze over the ham and roast for 30 minutes, uncovered. Baste occasionally with remaining glaze and continue to roast for another 15 minutes. Let ham stand for 20 minutes before slicing.

Here is a good one:)
Best ham I've ever had is a Cook's spiral ham. They're easy to bake because you just take it out of the package, place it in a baking dish and throw in the oven for a few hours. Also, something I always do with leftover ham is chop it up and mix it in with the Betty Crocker AuGratin potatoes and bake them. It's really yummy, though not very Christmassy.
This free ebook has 490 award winning recipes, I think I saw what you're looking for in it.
This is how my mom used to make it and my kids all love it. The best part it is simple.

One ham

One container of whole cloves

One can of ringed pineapple

1/4 cup brown sugar

Trim the Ham if necessary and poke the cloves all over the ham. Bake for an hour and then mix up the pineapple and juice from the pineapple and the brown sugar and baste the ham through out the remaining cooking time. Be sure to mix the ham juices into the sugar mix as you baste.
