I have a left over spiral cut ham in the frig. I want to make a dinner with it............would love suggestions............Does anyone have good recipes for left over ham?
I just tried this and it was really good.

I chopped up leftover ham in the food processor

chopped a small package of Swiss cheese (food processor)

in a large bowl..mix ham, cheese, 1tablespoon of grated onion, stick of melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and poppy seeds.

this is really good on piece of sliced baguette. i slice the bread ..spread on some of the ham mixture and broil in the oven until the cheese melts. REALLY TASTY!Does anyone have good recipes for left over ham?
Ham and mac. Just make macaroni like you normally would and then dice the ham up and toss it in. My Mom does this after thanksgiving every year, it's great.
i love ham and beans or ham chowder. you could also make scalloped potatoes w/ham in it!
Cut into thin slices, spread with cream cheese, roll up into a log, and cut into bite-sized rolls!
check out www.foodnetwork.com and www.epicurious.com

bon appetit!
I love to take ham slices (especially from spiral cut) and put them into a skillet with some apple juice to cook. Don't use so much apple juice that they are swimming, but not so little that the juice evaporates or scorches quickly. Use medium to med/low heat flipping the ham slices occasionally. The goal is to let the apple juice loose a fair amount of the water leaving behind a thicker, stickier layer. By the time the juice is mostly evaporated the ham should be delicious. Use it as the meat for the main course or on a sandwich.
Monte Cristo sandwiches are a great way to use up a good ham.

Sliced ham and turkey

Gruyere or Swiss cheese slices

American cheese slices

Garlic Aioli or Mayo with a crushed clove of garlic mixed in

Brown mustard

Bread of your choice (whole wheat is a good choice)

Build your sandwich with mayo or aioli on the inside of one slice and mustard on the inside of the other (helps hold things together). Then a slice of cheese on top of the mayo or mustard. Meat on top of that. Once the sandwiches are constructed, you will need to mix batter and heat the oil. Light oils work best, like peanut oil or canola oil, and heat to 375 degrees. Don’t allow the oil to heat any closer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The oil should be heated and ready for use as soon as your sandwiches are put together.

You want this “fry” to be hot and fast. Also, be certain to have a metal rack to rest the fried sandwiches on rather than paper towels or paper sacks. They come out extremely hot and heavy, so it's best if you have a rack to put them on.

Batter:

1-1/2 cups flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar.

1 large egg

1/4 cup water

Mix the dry ingredients well. Beat egg with water and add into the dry mix. Blend gently until of a batter consistency.

Slide your sandwich into the batter, one side down then lift, allow excess to fall away and turn to dip other side. Roll edges in batter to cover all sides of the sandwich. Have the hot oil ready and lift sandwich (with tongs or two fingers), allowing major excess of batter to fall away. Quickly set battered sandwich into the fry basket and then into hot oil. Fry for three to four minutes: approximately 1 1/2 minutes for each sandwich side or until golden brown. Set on cake rack or other metal rack to cool.

Serve with a generous dusting of confectioner’s sugar and a side of your favorite berry jams. Raspberry, blueberry, strawberry are all excellent accompaniments to this sandwich delight.
ham and potato casserole.....

can either be cheese based or ranch based....i don't have a specific recipe, but i'm sure they're out there.

also navy beans and ham.... though you usally want a hame with a bone in it for that.

you could also just re serve the ham as is, but make fresh side dishes, like buttered potatoes with parsley and cauliflower with a cheese sauce.

you can make a pineapple glaze for it too.

or shred it up, and cook with bbq sauce...have them on sandwiches with fries and a vegetable.
I make western sandwich patties (diced ham,egg,%26amp; diced green onions) cook patties %26amp; individually wrap in saran %26amp; freeze. Fast sandwich.....toast %26amp; patty in microwave1 minute

Chop the ham

Add Slice/dice cooked potatoes, (1-2 for everyone eating)

add some cheese

add some milk

add some drained peas

add favorite spice

Stir and cook on stovetop over medium heat until hot.

OR

mix all that stuff and pour in casserole dish and place biscuits over the top and bake 40 minutes or until stuff is looking golden brown and bubbly
You could cut it up in cudes and add to fried potatoes and get like a hash.
put it in some mac%26amp; cheese and bake it, fry it for breakfeast with some eggs
Put the ham in a food processor, you can add mayonasie or mustard, depending on what you like and even green olives or again anything you like and make a great ham spread for sammies. Even a touch of horseradish sauce is good. You can add some chopped red onions and also sweet or dill pickles to the blender. Really great sammies.

I usually make quiche %26amp; serve w/fruit salad...

1 cup grated cheese (any kind)

1 cup chopped meat

1 cup chopped veggies (broccoli, spinach, onion, mushroom, etc... select one or a combo of several)

3 eggs

1 cup milk, cream or half %26amp; half

1/2-1 teaspoon salt (less w/salty meat like ham or bacon)

1/4 teaspoon pepper

dash of nutmeg or dry mustard

9-in pie crust

Place crust in pie pan. Put pie pan on cookie sheet to prevent spills in oven.

In a frying pan, sautee veggies in a little oil until tender. Sprinkle cheese, meat and cooked veggies in bottom of pie pan.

In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients until well blended and then pour over filling ingredients in crust.

Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated 425 degree oven. Then turn down the oven to 350 and bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. I usually cover edge of pie crust with strips of foil to prevent them from burning when I turn down the temp on the oven. Quiche is done when a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.

You can add any seasonings you like in place of nutmeg or mustard... chili powder and cumin makes for a mexican flavored quiche that is yummy served with a dollop of sour cream and salsa.
