Does anybody have an good ham recipes?

I am thinking of baking a ham to take to my aunt's for Thanksgiving, but I have only cooked a ham one time and it didn't seem that spectacular. Do you have any good ham recipes? I don't like cherries, pineapples or cloves on my ham so please, no recipes that involve those ingredients.

Thanks!Does anybody have an good ham recipes?

GENUINE VIRGINIA BAKED HAM

1 small, rather lean ham

6 cloves

1/2 teaspoonful celery seed

2 tablespoonful sugar

Boiling water

1 egg, beaten

10 peppercorns

1/2 teaspoonful ground cinnamon

1 quart sweet cider

2 tablespoonfuls breadcrumbs

Celery leaves and curls for garnish

Currant sauce

Select a ham weighing about seven pounds. Wash the ham thoroughly, sprinkle with soda, rubbing it all over the surface, rinse in cold water, and place in a deep kettle, with the cloves, celery seed, cinnamon, peppercorns and cider. Cover with boiling water and simmer until perfectly tender, four or five hours.

Take from the kettle, remove the skin, and sprinkle the ham with sugar. Brush over with beaten egg, cover with ground breadcrumbs, stick in cloves at even intervals and brown in a 550 degrees fahrenheit oven.

Trim the meat from the bone end, and decorate the latter with celery leaves and curls. Serve with currant sauce. This recipe, of course, furnishes the meat for several meals.
A little oil in the bottom of a roasting tin and two table spoons of light soy sauce with half a can of cider. Drizzle thin honey all over the top; cover with foil and cook in a med/slow oven according to size.

Baste with the pan juices every 30 minutes and leave the foil off for the last 45 minutes.

Believe me it's good!

Best Ever Ham recipe

Best Ever Ham Ingredients

7 pound Ham smoked 1 1/4 cups Amaretto

8 ounce Apricot, peeled can, reserve juice 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice fresh

1 cup Brown sugar packed 1 tablespoon Dry mustard

Insructions for Best Ever Ham

Preheat oven to 325. Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan, fat side up. Reserve 1/3 cup of the juice from the apricots and place in a saucepan with the brown sugar, 1 cup of amaretto, the lemon juice and mustard. Bring to a boil.

Let the sauce cool slightly and spoon evenly over the ham. Bake the ham for one hour, basting every 20 minutes with sauce from the pan. After one hour top the ham with apricots, using toothpicks to hold them in place, and splash the ham with the remaining cup of amaretto.

Bake about 30 minutes longer, or until the ham and apricots are browned; a meat thermometer should read 140. Allow to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing and serving. ~*-*~
I just bake the ham and then after about an hour of cooking ,I pour a can of 7 up or coke over it and it always comes out tasting so good . all my family asks me what I use ,I never tell them . good luck and god bless.
