why not make monte cristo sandwiches or grilled ham and cheese sandwiches.I need some recipes for ham. I have 2 pounds of cured sliced ham, and not sure what to do.?
I would make chicken cordon blue- Chicken breast mashed until 1/4 inch thin(season chicken with salt pepper and garlic powder) Place 1 slice ham and 1 slice swiss cheese on the chicken, roll up and secure with a tooth pick. Dredge cordon blues in egg/milk mixture then seasoned bread crumbs until coated good. Put in a baking dish and bake @350 until golden brown. - I would also make breakfast burritos with mushrooms, green chilis, onions and ham of course.

Western omlette

Sliced ham
Cook a box of Farfalle or bowtie pasta.

Cubed up about 2 cups of the ham. Grate some fresh Parmesan or Cheddar cheese about 1 cup..

Reserve about 1 cup of the pasta water then...drain the pasta, DO NOT RINSE, and return to the pan. Add the cubed ham, the cheese, and some frozen peas. Stir. Add a ladle full of the pasta water and stir. The pasta water will join with the cheese and make a creamy mixture. Add a little water at a time and wait a minute or so in between to see the consistency.

Enjoy! Family favorite! My kids love it.
You could make a ham and cheese quiche tonight and ham and eggs in the morning, or eggs Benedict.
~ Scalloped potatoes and Ham

Peel %26amp; slice potatoes. Layer in casserole dish - potatoes, sprinkle w/flour, salt %26amp; pepper, thin sliced onion, dabs of butter, sliced or chunked bite size pieces of ham. Continue with layers 3 times, end with a layer of potatoes on top. In a small sauce pan warm 2 cups milk (do not boil, just warm) then pour that over the potatoe layers and bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes. I start out with it covered, then towards the end I uncover to brown the top layer.

~ Potatoe, Ham %26amp; Asparagus Bake

2 pounds frozen hash browns, put in large bowl. Add chopped onion, can mushroom soup, 16oz sour cream and mix, then add half a 3 cup bag of shredded mild cheddar cheese. Put half of potatoe mixture in baking dish (I use 9x13 glass dish) add 2 cans of asparagus (well drained) and your cut up ham, then the remaining potatoe mixture. Pour 1/2 cup melted butter over. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, then put on remaining shredded cheese and continue baking until golden and bubbly.

Or... you can mix all the cheese in the potatoe mixture and put crushed corn flakes on top and then pour the melted butter over and bake for 45 minutes. Delicious either way!

Hope these are helpful to you.
